West Ervin Debow was born on October 8, 1951, in Anniston, Missouri to his parents, West Debow and Victoria Debow. He was the fourth child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his sisters, Luvechia, Forestine and Mable. As a child, he loved playing basketball, dancing and he made friends easily. West received his formal education in Missouri, where he graduated from Hirsh High School on June 27, 1970. He furthered his education by attending the Olne Harvey College. On March 4, 1971, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving his country, he was stationed in Colorado, Texas, and Missouri. He was also awarded a National Defense Service Medal. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged. By profession, West was as a Printer and Machinist. He was employed by Dixon Paper, PCH and Goodrich Tires. Wherever employed, he was hard working, dependable and worked well with his fellow employees. He performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, he was baptized as a Catholic and faithfully served the Lord. West was a fun loving man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports on television, listening to music and spending quality time with family and friends. His closest friend, Ronald Tall and he shared a special closeness. His smile and friendly demeanor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of a kind guy. To know West was to love him. West Ervin Debow departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on January 28, 2014, those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his children, Ervin A. Debow of Denver and Luvechia Debow of Chicago, IL; his step-children, Tamika Rawlins and Johnetta Denzmore; his grandchildren, Dominique Debow, TyQuise Rainey, Tenea Debow; his extended family include, Cle'Vaughn Forbush, Ta'Lanni Brown, Calvin Denzmore, III and Johnnie Denzmore, III; his most significant other, Kathy Lindsey; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
