Rhonda Louise Simpson was born on August 6, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas to her parents, Duco P. DeBuyzer and Julia J. Halcrombe DeBuyzer. She was the oldest of three children born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brother, Nicholas and her sister, Pamela. Rhonda was raised in Denver, Colorado where she received her early education. She graduated from Centennial High School in Champagne, Illinois in 1972. After graduation, she furthered her education by attending Fight Attendant School in California. It was while there, she met the love of her life, Robert L. Simpson. After a two year courtship, they united in holy matrimony on May 29, 1975. To this union, two sons, Robert and Jarrod were born. Rhonda was a loving and devoted wife and mother. The care and nurture of her family was important to her and the love she had for her family was unconditional. Robert fondly reflects saying," she was my sunshine." She was later blessed to be the grandmother of Daija, Saije, Janelle, and Hali. They lovingly called her grandma and fondly remember all the happy and precious moments they all shared together. By profession, Rhonda was employed by State Farm Insurance. She was a hardworking person, who performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. She worked well with her co-workers and was respected by patrons she served. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Rhonda accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very early age. She was baptized at Central Baptist Church in Denver, by the late Reverend W. O. Mays. She truly loved the Lord and enjoyed the Christian fellowship shared her church family. Rhonda was a fun-loving woman, who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She was a lady who was considerate of others feelings. She was caring, compassionate and amazing; yet these characteristics do not fully describe the woman she was. She was a lady who enjoyed life and those she encircled. She had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that would illuminate any room she entered. She was someone you could always depend on. She leaves a void that can never be filled and her memory will always remain in hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to have known this beautiful woman, who was loved more than words could ever say. To know Rhonda was to love her. Rhonda Louise Simpson departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on October 21, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado.
