Marcella Taylor

Marcella Sue (Edwards) Taylor was born to loving parents Benjamin and Virginia Edwards on June 17, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. Marcella was born the fourth of seven children, six girls and one boy.
Growing up, Marcella was active in the Escoallites and marched in parades as part of the team. As a young adult Marcella joined the American Legions. Marcella went on to obtain her General Education Diploma from Emily Griffith. Marcella also obtained many accolades as a result of her worship. Marcella was a member of the Greater Mount Olive Church for decades.
When a teenager Marcella met and married the love of her life, Harold Van Taylor, and as a result of this reunion there were 4 children born: Harold Van Taylor, Van Dale Taylor, Anthony Ivan Taylor and Olainia Taylor.
Marcella being small in stature, however humongous in spirit, raised 3 children as a single mother. Granny/Annie, as Marcella was called by many, assisted with raising 2 grandchildren and many other children in the family. Although petite herself, Marcella's children were not small in stature nor personalities, and Marcella raised them with a firm hand. Marcella had such a strong spirit, that she lived to be the only and oldest matriarch in the family.
Marcella's best friend was her sister Dorothy (Edwards) Henderson. They two were inseparable, they died on the same day 11 years apart.
Marcella is preceded in death by her eldest son: Harold Van Taylor, Mother: Virginia Lee Edwards, Father: Benjamin Edwards, Grandmother: Pearl Lee Booker, Great-Grandchildren: Kashmire DashNea Lujan-Taylor and Nasir (Lil Anthony) Hemmings-Taylor, Sisters: Jolene, Joyce, Dorothy, Ramona, and Vanetta, Brother: Benjamin and Ex-husband: Harold Van Taylor.
Marcella has left the following family to RELISH her memory: Daughter Olainia (Walter) Taylor (Haynes), Sons VanDale (Vera) Taylor and Anthony I'Van Taylor, Grandchildren: Michael (Serena) Calonzo De'Van Taylor, Anthony (Tanya) Mar'Van Taylor, Eboni Winn, VanDale Taylor, Anistasia MiaRea Carter, T'aunce Xalonzo Lee Woods, Jalecc Colonzo Lujan-Taylor; Great-Grand Children: Daevon Robinson, Pryce Amir Taylor, Olivia Parri Taylor, Jermaine Bedford, Sunshine Ford, Domineer Ford, Jonny Winn and Faith Angel Winn and a host of many other relatives
