The sun rose on the life of Jean’Marquris Deshà Stewart on December 24, 1998, in Denver, Colorado. A blessing from the Lord Almighty, Jean’Marquis was born to Eric Stewart and Kenya Moss. He was the last of three children to join this family. and was truly a momma’s boy from birth.
From the beginning, Jean’Marquis although small in stature and quiet in demeanor, made a bold statement. He was known to sport fancy large chains and always stood out from the others. His sisters, Breashelle Moss and Jaelynn Smith cannot help but remember his bodacious smile that would light up any room. Jean’Marquris always displayed his pearly whites and often quoted some his favorite sayings such as, “Y’all Being Weird”, “Oh My Gosh” and “Your Such A Zeek”. One of the families’ fondest memories came during Easter Sunday while Easter egg hunting. Jean‘Marquris became very frustrated because he couldn’t find any money or eggs. He then blurted out, “This Is A Ripe Off.”
Jean’Marquris grew up in Denver, Colorado’s great Park Hill Community and was educated through Denver Public Schools. As persistent as he was, he battled his way through school and graduated from Justice High School. Soon after graduating, Jean’Marquris took on several different jobs including, working at Wal-Mart, Krispy Kreme and the United States Parcel Service (USPS) as a sales associate.
Jean’Marquis affectionately known as “Buddah”, was a strong man full of life. He was a great listener and a very caring person. Buddha loved to spend time with his family and chill with his son; Jahari. He enjoyed hanging out with his best friends, Rasheed, Clover, and DJ spent a lot of time together. They will miss all the memories that they created with one another kicking it and entertaining the ladies.
To know Jean’Marquis “Buddah” was to love him.
