James Harris, Jr.

March 21, 1942 — March 3, 2014

James Thaydore Harris, Jr. was born on April 21, 1942, in Brookfield, Missouri to his parents, James T. Harris, Sr. and Louise Boggs Harris. He was the first child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Lonnie and his sister, Patricia. James was a 1959, graduate of Manual High School in Denver, Colorado. While in high school, he met Barbara Skillern. They were united in holy matrimony in April of 1960. To this union, two beautiful children, Ricky and Rhonda were born. He was later blessed with three grandchildren, Rachel, Jared and Rahmel who were an additional source of joy and pride in his life. By profession, James was a Cabinet Maker for Mastercraft Kitchens. He was hardworking, dedicated and performed his duties with precision and excellence. James was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, listening to old school music and walking where he enjoyed the beauty of Colorado and its surrounding. His closest friends, Marvel Green, Harold Smith, Billy Ealy and Gary Gamby will miss the camaraderie they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and genuine friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man who was a private person and a man who was a self-starter. To know James was to love him. James Thaydore Harris, Jr. departed this life on March 3, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include a son, Ricky J. Harris; his daughter, Rhonda L.
