Earl Anthony Roberson was born on September 30, 1961, in Los Angeles, California to his parents, Jennie Hudson and Willie Roberson. He was affectionately called "Anthony" by family and friends. He was the younger of two siblings, Melvin and Debra. As a kid, Anthony was always breaking apart different things; you name it..he could break it and put it back together. His siblings fondly remember him trading his toys for one of theirs but once he broke it he would ask to trade it back. Anthony received his early education in Denver and he graduated from George Washington High School. After graduation, he relocated to Dallas, Texas where he furthered his education by attending culinary school which was the start of his career as a chef. Anthony had a great passion for cooking. His family was always excited at family gathering because they knew that Anthony would delight them with his culinary skills. Anthony accepted the Lord as his personal savior at a very early age and was baptized at Good Shephard Baptist Church in 1968. He later became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he attended with many of his family members. Anthony united in holy matrimony to Lisa Roberson. The couple first met when they both lived in Birmingham, Alabama. There were no children born to this union and the marriage was later dissolved. In November of 2004, Anthony returned home to Denver and started working as a Chef in several of the casino's in Blackhawk. Wherever he worked, he was hard -working, dedicated and performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. To Anthony, presentation was just as important as preparation. Anthony was a fun loving man, who enjoyed life and those encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his mother. To the both of them, Saturday was their day. The bond forged by this time was both important and immeasurable. Anthony had a heart of gold and was extremely loving and kind. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of a kind guy. To know Anthony was to love him. Earl "Anthony" Roberson departed this life on March 16, 2013, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his mother, Jennie Hudson of Denver; one brother, Melvin E. Copper of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sister, Debra A.
