Charles Finley, Jr.

Charles M. Finley Jr was born on February 10, 1935 to his parents, Edith and Charles Finley Sr. in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. He met and married Sally L. Harris in Casper, Wyoming on October 8, 1958. Charles was a loving and faithful husband and father who provided both spiritually and physically to his family. To that union were born four children- Charles III, Christopher, Clayton and Cheryl. Charles took his dedication to our heavenly father Jehovah very seriously. He demonstarted his heartfelt determination to serve his grand creator at every opportunity he had. In a letter he expressed the following thought: "My commission is to warn all who will give an ear and teach the knowledge of Jehovah. There is no greater service any man could perform than preaching the Good News of God's Kingdom even in view of the fact of great opposition, tribulations and persecution..." Charles continued to serve his Grand Creator Jehovah from his date of baptism on February 13, 1960 to the day he fell asleep in death on January 3, 2014. He had the privilege of serving his fellow believers in the Park Hill congregation as an appointed servant for several years and he enjoyed volunteering as a cook at numerous assemblies and conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. Charles loved electronic gadgets of practically any sort, he enjoyed fixing things as well as increasing his knowledge. He learned to be a electrical technician, a radio operator, and a locksmith and he was always willing to try new challenges. Charles is survived by his wife, Sally, his four children, Charles III, Chris, Clayton and Cheryl, his sister Darlene, his brother William as well as his four grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
