Xavyiar Lawrence Sturges was born on January 11, 2003 in Aurora, Colorado, to his mother, Kiana R (Doyle) Walker, and father, Andre L. Sturges. Xaviyar was also blessed to have his stepfather, Brendon "Obi" Walker, in his life who loved and his supported him. Xavyiar was the second of four children. His brothers, Elyjah Sturges, Daniel January; and sister, Danaiya January were inseparable and loved spending quality time together. He was also blessed to be able to enjoy time with his blended family, including his half-brother, Nicholas Matthew-Pease; stepsiblings, sister, Kennedy Walker; and brothers, Brendon Obi Walker, II, and Tobias Wright.
Xaviyar attended Smoky Hill School his freshmen year but moved to Eaglecrest High School in the Cherry Creek School District for his sophomore and junior school years. Xaviyar had several jobs around the Denver and Aurora areas but his most recent and favorite position was working at the His and Hers Salon, with his mentor, Rory Fisher, who has been a significant part of his life.
In his younger years, Xaviyar enjoyed WWE, video games, and girls, girls, girls… As a teenager, he of course, still enjoyed video games, but he now "LOVES" the girls, and had also developed a huge passion for boxing! His dad, "Obi" took him to Lumumba at Heavy Hands Gym to enhance his skills and self-discipline. Xaviyar also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, outdoor activities, swimming, and showing off his muscles.
In his more structured spare time, Xaviyar worked with Compound of Compassion in Aurora, where he worked closely with the director, Shana Shaw, as a youth volunteer, a mentor, and facility maintenance coordinator. With his great smile, Xaviyar was known for being kind, helpful, hard-working, fun, and being a lady's man. Xaviyar will be missed by all who were blessed to know.
Xaviyar was preceded in death by his half-brother, Nicholas Matthew-Pease.
Xavyiar Lawrence Sturges departed this life, too soon, on June 19, 2020, in Aurora, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kiana R (Brendon "Obi") Walker; his father, Andre L. Sturges; his siblings, Elyjah Sturges, Daniel January, Danaiya January; stepsiblings, Kennedy Walker, Brendon Obi Walker, II, and Tobias Wright; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives, and many-many friends.
