Willie B. Alfred, Jr.
Willie B. Alford, Jr. was born on April 5th, 1959, in Shreveport, LA, to his parents Lola and Willie B. Alford, Jr. and was raised by his grandmother Vera M. Hall before moving to Denver at the age of 14 to live with his mother Lola Alford
Throughout his life, Willie found joy in various interests such as supporting the Oakland Raiders, the Denver Broncos, and the LSU Tigers. He also enjoyed attending church services, exploring new destinations while traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with his beloved family and friends. One of Willie's proudest moments was dedicating himself to Christ at a young age a testament to his unwavering faith and spirituality.
Willie received his formal education in Sibley, LA and attended Sibley High School, later he met Beverly Backstrom in San Meteo, CA and they were united in holy matrimony in May 2001 in Reno, Nevada. They both enjoyed traveling to Nevada and spending quality time together.
By trade, Willieter was a carpenter, he was hard working, dedicated and performed his duties with a sprit of excellence until his retirement.
Willie will be dearly missed by his deceased family members: his wife, Beverly; his parents Lola B and Willie B. Alford, Sr; and brother, Clinton D. Alford, Sr.
Willie departed this life on March 8, 2024 in Aurora, CO. He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will continue inspire all who knew him. He is survived by a large and loving family including his siblings, Renay West (Jameral), Elaine Brown, Christoria Alford, Cynthia Alford, Tine Alford, LaToya Gladney (sisters); Kendrick Mason and Anthony Alford, Sr (Debra) (brothers); Vinnie Ginn,Gloria Tippins,Hazel Ford (aunts); Marleaste Tippins Miles (cousin); Nita Taylor and LaRon Gladney (devoted friends); and a host of other relatives and many friends.
