William George King, Jr. of Denver, Colorado, away on March 14, 202, at the age of 72. He was born on March 5, 1952, in Phoenix City, Alabama, to Lillie B. King and George Washington King. William led a fulfilling life as a mechanic and the owner of King Auto in Park Hill. Known for never shying away from a challenge, he passionately helped the average person with their vehicles at reasonable prices. His dedication to his work and his compassion for others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
As a child, William was a daredevil on his bicycle, performing tricks that once led to a broken collarbone. His adventurous spirit continued throughout his life as he loved camping and outdoor activities. William was also fondly remembered for sneaking sweets to his grandchildren in the middle of the night.
Apart from his professional and adventurous pursuits, William found joy in fishing, hunting, and even gambling at the casino during his free time. He took pride in passing down his knowledge of these activities to his children and grandchildren.
William was a man of faith and along with his wife Willie Mae King, he was an active member of the King Baptist Church where he had accepted Christ at an early age.
He is survived by his loving wife Willie Mae King; his children Maurice L. King, Angela M. White, William George Moore; (21) grandchildren; (7) great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
A visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held on March 29, 2024, at Pipkin Braswell Funeral Home & Cremation in Denver, Colorado. The visitation will start at 12:00 PM followed by the Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM where friends and family will gather to honor and remember William's remarkable life.
William George King, Jr. will be dearly missed but never forgotten for his kindness, generosity, and adventurous spirit that touched so many hearts throughout his lifetime.
