Walter Bracken, Jr.

Walter Edward Bracken, Jr. was born on January 2, 1977 in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Walter Edward Bracken, Sr. and Catherine DeHerrera Bracken. Walter was the youngest of three children, and the only son born to this union. He was surrounded by the love of his two sisters, Monica, and Joyce. Joyce thought Walter was an old fashion name, so she nicknamed him, "Pee Wee" by his older sister when he was a baby. As he grew, Walter's nickname changed from "Pee Wee" to "Pete." Pete completed his formal education in the Denver Public Schools District at South High School. Pete always expressed his love for his sisters telling them, "I love you Sis!" every time his left instead of saying, "goodbye". Pete loved his mother dearly. He enjoyed her cooking especially her macaroni salad, chili beans, sopapillas, and her special meal that he called, "alpo," which was ground beef and fried potatoes. Pete never smiled for pictures, but when his mother would cook a meal, he would have a big smile. He loved to attend special events to support and spend quality time with his family. He would not miss barbeques, birthdays, graduations, or any other type of celebration. Pete had such a loving heart, and would never hurt anyone. He would express the truth in every situation, no matter the outcome. Pete will truly be missed by his family and friends. "His love will live on in us all." Walter Edward Bracken, Jr. departed this life on July 24, 2016, in Denver Colorado. Walter leave behind his mother, Catherine Bracken, sisters, Monica (Clint, Sr.) Walker, Joyce (Mahdi Hussain) Alhassain; nieces, Janae Walker, Desarae (Christopher) Williams, nephews, Clint Walker, Jr., great nephew, Aiden Walker, Niles Williams; great niece, Sonora Williams; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
