Vincent I. Okeke was born on August 24, 1951, in Umueke Nigeria to his father, Joseph Okeke. He was raised surrounded by his brothers and sisters. As a child, he was full of life and was one who was inspired to be the best he could be in everything he set out to do. He loved playing soccer and fondly remembers watching his father build a church in Nigeria. Vincent received his formal education in Nigeria earning a Diploma in Business English on February 14, 1979. On August 11, 1979, he received a Certificate in Administrative Management in Lagos, Nigeria. He continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Regis University, Denver, Colorado. In his quest to further his education, he earned a Master's Degree in International Administration from the School of International Training in 1983. Vincent met Jean M. Callender in Denver, Colorado. To this union, a son, Maximillian J. Okeke was born. Max remembers his father as the greatest father a son could have. He also remembers him as being supportive and always giving him sound advice. They shared many happy and precious moments together. He later met Lillie, and to this union, a daughter, Shannon Kacey Okeke was born. Shannon remembers him teaching her to ride her bicycle and taking her out on her paper route. He always encouraged her to excel academically and worked hard to provide for his children. By profession, Vincent was the Owner and Operator of Allmetro Financial Service. He also was worked as a Loan Officer and a Mortgage Broker. He prided himself on being fair and he would never ask his staff to perform a task that he first wouldn't do himself and he didn't mind giving opportunities to others. Vincent was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. His closest friend Emmanuel Madueke met in 1991. They shared a mutual closeness that was genuine and unconditional. They both were born in Nigeria, enjoyed eating Nigerian food together and conversing with one another on many different subjects. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, playing soccer and watching football. He was a member of the ICC Club, where he served as Vice President. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Vincent was to love him. Vincent I. Okeke departed this life on February 13, 2014, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Maximillian Okeke of Aurora; his daughter, Shannon Kacey Okeke of Aurora; his grandchildren, Jaazaniah Akachukwu Okeke, Jordan Alexandria Williams Okeke; his best friend, Emmanuel Madueke; a host of other relatives and many friends.
