Vicky Lester Fox was born on February 28, 1941, in Larned, Kansas to her parents, Tuck Hanna and Evelyn L. Williams Hanna. She was the second child born in the family. She shared sweet memories of her twin brothers, Keith and Kenith, as well her sisters, Beverly, Patricia and Betty. As a child, she loved listening to westerns on the radio, fixing things, sewing and listening to music. She was also very athletic and enjoyed exploring. Vicky was a talented and gifted young lady and was one who exhibited great leadership ability. The family eventually relocated to Denver, Colorado and Vicky completed her fundamental education. On April 12, 1957, Vicky united in holy matrimony to Ronald (aka Ronnie) Fox. The couple first met at a malt shop. They exchanged vows in Brighton, Colorado. To this union, four beautiful children were born, Ronald, Damon, Ramona and Sandy. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. Ronnie and Vicky were married fifty two years when he preceded her in death, in 2009. Vicky was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, Stephany, Joseph, Caris, Tanzynaya, Monique, Nichole, Ashley, Tonya, Paul and RayVon who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "Granny Fox" and fondly remember her playing board games, video games, she eating hamburgers, hot dogs and candy with them. They also remember her talking to them about having the right relationship with the Lord, encouraging them to "Dream Big" and "go for it," and to always further their education. Vicky's priority was always her children; however, when she worked, she was employed as a Seamstress. Over the years, she worked for Samsonite, J.C. Penney and Brandis Manufacturing. She is remembered as being hard-working, dedicated and performing her duties with precision. She worked well her co-workers, supervisors and the customers, she served. She retired after many years of faithful service. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Vicky accepted the Lord as her personal savior. She later became a member of Berean Bible Church in Denver, Colorado. She served her church as a Sunday School Teacher and she worshipped under the pastoral leadership of Pastor John L. Byrd. The current Pastor is her son, Ronald T. Fox, Jr. Vicky was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, skating, reading, watching movies, sewing, photography, drawing and crocheting. She loved video games, gardening, watching sports, writing poetry and she was a strong prayer warrior. Her closest friends, Doris Todd Lewis, Evelyn Wilson and Ethel Osborne will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together and the fact that she was a true friend who was always there when needed. She was a lady who offered words of encouragement and was willing to lend a helping hand. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman who leaves a void that can never be filled. To know Vicky was to love her.
