May 24, 1936, Vertlee Bobbie Davis was born to the proud parents of Mr. John F and Mrs. Matilda Davis in Leigh, Texas. She was the 3rd child born to this union. Bobbie, as affectionaly called, was raised in a Christian home surrounded by her siblings. She attended Antioch Elementary and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Karnack, Texas. She received Christ at an early age.
In 1955 Bobbie moved to Denver with her sister Mother Thelma & Bishop Frank E. Johnson.
July 12, 1964 she became the proud mother of her one and only son of whom she loved and cherished.
Bobbie began her career working as a retail sales associate and expanded her career to include cosmetic. She then advanced her career into finance management where she later retired from Mellon Mortage company.
Mother Davis was a loyal and faithful member of the Antioch Church of God in Christ where she served in many capacities. She was an actuary record keeper and served as the financial secretary untill her declining years. Mother Davis was an avid biblical scholar, a teacher and an anointed prayer warrior.
Mother Vertlee Bobbie Davis departed this life to the embrace of the Almighty Lord on January 3, 2024 at Dorothy Soft Touch, Aurora, Colorado.
Mother Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John F and Mrs. Matilda Davis, son, Eric Leshay Fagain, sisters, Florence Boone, Johnetta Mills, brothers; Larry Davis, Willie James Davis, Freeman Davis and Clifford Davis, brother in law, Bishop Frank E. Johnson and other Loved Ones.
She leaves to cherish many great memories to her grandson, John Fagain, sisters, Lady Thelma Johnson, Denver, CO and District Missionary Louise Davis, Minneapolis, MN. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Antioch Church family and friends.
