On July 24, 1992, Verdell Mathews Clark was born in Denver, Colorado, to Ida Mathews and Nick Clark. He was oldest of four brothers. Verdell received his primary and secondary education in the Aurora Public School system. He attended Laredo Elementary , East Middle and Aurora Central High school. While in school, Verdell enjoyed sports of all types. He was a well rounded athlete and excelled in track, wrestling, and basketball. Following high school, Verdell, worked in varies jobs including warehouse worker. He was employed at Mayflower Moving Company at the time of his death.
Verdell was a young man that was full of life. He had a great sense of humor and his generous spirit made it a pleasure to be in his company. He enjoyed being with family always available to give his brothers a word of advice or encouragement. Camping in the mountain parks, hanging out with his friends, listening to music, or driving his car, Verdell made the most of life.
Family was very important to Verdell. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a good father to his beautiful children Zamar, Zarya, Zarisah and Remi-Rae Williams. He was delighted to be a dad and was rewarded because his kids looked like him.
On June 19, 2020, Verdell departed this life surrounded those who loved him. Left to cherish his memory is his parents Ida Mathews and Nicki Clark, his children Zamar, Zarya, Zarisha, Clark and Remi Rae Williams; his brothers Mondell , Monvell and Lawrence Black Clark of Denver, CO; grandmother Wace Clark, aunt Redonia Clark, best friends Zackary Little, James Moore and Preston Nunn, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
