Tyrone Brown

Tyrone Maurice Brown, was born May 17, 1940 in Wilmington Delaware to Bessie Ann Brown, and raised by his Grandparents Mr. & Mrs. James (Fannie) Brown.

Tyrone was a Star Basketball Player at Howard High School, Tyrone also was known for performing for the Elks Lodge as Drum Major at Elks Parades.

In 1974, Tyrone’s life was made complete when he met the love of his life Joan Peachie, whom he married in 1988.  As they joined their life together and blended their families little did Tyrone know that this would be when he begin to live life.

Tyrone’s passion for Cooking lead him to open Mr. T’s Family Restaurant in Columbus Ohio in the 80’s. He returned to San Diego and attended Century Culinary Arts School, then obtained his Associate’s Degree from San Diego Mesa College in Food Service Operation.

Tyrone, retired as Head Chef from 32nd Street Naval Stations, San Diego, CA and moved to Denver, Co.  In 1999, Tyrone retired from Cox (Mainheim Auto) Auction in 2020.

Tyrone, was a loving father to Dwayne Brown, Sherrell Brown, Tyrone M Brown JR(TB), Artise Harrington, Vanessa Brown Farley, Carmen Winward, Scharie Davis, Dayman Brown, Tracey Whalen, Edward J Gosha Jr, Tyrone M Brown Jr. (Pooh) , Krystal Carmichael.

Tyrone shared his love with numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory, wife Joan Peachie Brown, Dwayne Brown, Sherrell Brown, Tyrone M. Brown Jr. (TB), Artise Harrington, Vanessa Brown Farley, Carmen Winward, Scharie Davis, Dayman Brown, Tracey Whalen, Edward J. (Chante’) Gosha Jr., Tyrone M. (Cecile) Brown Jr. (Pooh), Krystal (Eric) Carmichael, sister Sonja (Ronnie) Parham, sister–in-laws Ruth Hall, Alyce (Calvin) Drew.  Long life cousin and friend Louis (Gene) Patterson, and a host of family members and friends.

At Sunrise November 22, 2022 Tyrone Maurice Brown departed this life.
