Toni Adams

July 15, 1953 — December 14, 2014

Toni Marie Adams was born on July 15, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska to her parents, Mary L. Cason Harris and John Harris. She was the fifth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brother, Stanley and her sisters, Margo, Connie, and Betty. The family relocated to Denver, Colorado and Toni continued her formal education by attending East High School. On June 15, 1977, Toni united in holy matrimony to Jimmy Adams, Jr. They first met at a party attended by family and friends. Jimmy remembers their marriage as loving and full of joy and happiness. "She was my sunshine." To this union, two beautiful children Jimmy, III and September were born. She was later blessed with four grandchildren, Jamil, Destiny, JaBrea and J'Romeo who were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "Grandma Dong." The entire family shared many happy, precious and memorable moments together. Toni was a Homemaker whose primary duty was the care and nurture of her family. Her cooking was the greatest and she took much pride in the preparation. Toni was a fun loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, playing with her grandchildren and eating Chinese food. She carried a jovial personality and was quite a jokester. Her closest friends, Judy Gunn, Helen Gunn and Phyllis Miller will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together and the fact that she was a true and genuine friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this Queen of a Woman; who leaves a void that can never be filled. To know Toni was to love her. Toni Marie Adams departed this life on December 14, 2014, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her loving and devoted husband, Jimmy L. Adams, Jr., her son, Jimmy L. Adams, III; her daughter, September M. Adams; her brother, Stanley Jones; two sisters, Margo E. (Harold) Richardson, all of Denver and Connie Wilkerson of Aurora; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
