Tina Leaks

June 8, 1967 — July 27, 2019

Tina Lashelle Leaks was fearfully and wonderfully made on June 8, 1967, to the proud union of Adolph and Mary Louise Leaks in Denver, Colorado. Tina was the first of two daughters born to her parents union. Tammy Leaks-Cooper is Tina's beloved younger sister. Tina lived her life in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by an abundance of family.
Tina accepted Christ early in life. As a woman of faith, she included God in all facets of her life. She
received her education through the Denver Public Schools system. As a youth Tina played the clarinet and she was also a member of the Iserettes Drill Team. Tina later coached her daughter La'Vonne's drill team group the Morey Mustangs. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1986. Tina had an impromptu sense of humor, she found endless humor in actions of children and Facebook videos. To know Tina was to know unconditional love. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her upbeat, loyal, loving, personality. There were times that Tina was not feeling her best but she was always in good spirits, with a vibrant smile, and willingness to go out of her way to support family and friends.
Tina lived for the love of family, she was a dedicated mother to her daughters La'Vonne and LaTaylha. She treasured her children and grandchildren, embracing every moment she spent with them. She especially loved her role as the Proud Grandmother, her grandchildren could be heard calling her Meme, as they laughed and played. Tina shared the strongest life-long bond with her sister Tammy, the two were a dynamic duo, always present in the events of each other's lives. Tina embraced La'Vonne and LaTaylha's friends and adopted all of them as her own children. She was a very sweet, generous, and a gentle person, she spoke kind and encouraging words to everyone she encountered. Tina was selfless and kept her home open to many, providing support and shelter to anyone in need. She loved cooking and always made sure she had enough food for everyone. Tina loved unconditionally, she possessed the passion to gracefully forgive and forget.
Tina was handy around the house and could repair or put anything together with or without instructions. She enjoyed socializing on social media, shopping, and watching television. Tina had a love for crocheting, and would spend hours crafting.
Proceeding Tina to Glory awaiting her at Heavens Gates is her Father, Adolph Leaks; Mother, Mary Collier-Smith; Grandfather, Cornelius Collier, Sr.; Grandmother, Elnora Collier; 2 sisters Angela Leaks, and Mary Catherine Leaks; and a host of other family members.
