Timothy Alexander Simpson, Sr. was born on December 18, 1946 in Denver Colorado to the union of Everett Eugene Simpson and Rossia Leola Brooks Simpson. He was reared in Denver and attended the Denver Public Schools: Mitchell Elementary, Cole Junior High, and Manual High Schools. Timothy continued his education, obtaining his Associate's Degree at Compton Community College in Los Angeles, California. Timothy served in the U.S. Army, receiving such prestigious awards as the National Defense Service Medal, and the Marksman Badge. Timothy was honorably discharged in 1970. In his youth, Timothy met his childhood sweetheart, Linda Simpson, and the two married at an early age. To this union, Timothy A. Simpson II was born. This marriage was later dissolved. Timothy then married his love, Doris Jean Smith Simpson and from this union, his daughter, Brandi Simpson, was born. He was later blessed with six step children, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren who were all an additional source of joy to his life. Timothy loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church in Denver. He later joined The Potter's House of Denver, where he continued his walk with the Lord. By profession, Timothy worked as an Aviation Specialty Clerk for the City and County of Denver for many years. His co-workers enjoyed his conversation, and dedication. He was always willing to give helpful instructions. Later, Timothy retired from the City and County of Denver. Timothy lived his life to the fullest. He loved his family and attending family gatherings, adding laughter, opinions, good advice, optimism and a positive attitude. He would provide information on current events, including job leads to nieces and nephews when he worked for the City and County of Denver. He was a sharp dresser, often wearing a hat tilted "Ace deuce". He liked music and was a good dancer. He liked to play bid wiz and was a competitive adversary. He was a smooth talker, intelligent, and made the best of his life situations. He was handsome and outgoing. He often disrupted traffic while walking across the street from his car to his mother's house on 29th and Marion St. in Denver. Once, his sister, Stella, told him to hurry up before he caused an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by two wives, Debra Simpson and Terri Simpson; one brother, Leon Simpson; two sisters, Idell Gerald and Rousie Harris. Timothy Alexander Simpson Sr. was called from labor to reward receiving sweet relief from cares, worries and uncertainties in a trouble world on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Timothy (Cherill) Simpson, Jr. of Atlanta GA; one daughter, Brandi (Michael) Glenn of Denver CO; one brother, Casey (Evelyn) Simpson; three sisters, Ruby (Carl) Dudley, Stella Simpson, Jerry Ann (Edward Sr.) Harlan all of Denver CO; six step children, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances.
