Theresa Thompson

Theresa Ann Thompson’s life story began on November 28, 1958 when she was born in Denver, Colorado to parents Jessie Thompson and Georgia Mae Thompson. She was the fourth child born to this union. She was raised surrounded by the love and friendship of her brothers, Bobby and Gary, and her sisters, Cheryl and Lynn. The siblings shared a special bond and created lasting memories that would serve as joyful reflections over the many years. Theresa received her early education in Denver, where she excelled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). She would eventually go on to receive her GED at Denver Street Academy. Pursuing her dream of becoming certified as a nursing assistant (CNA), she furthered her education and achieved just that. Theresa was dedicated to her field and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence for over twenty years, until she retired due to illness. Theresa would come to meet Kenneth Martin with whom she had her beloved son, Kenneth Ray Thompson, Sr. Years later she met “Raggs” and the two would become the proud parents of Gary Thompson. Theresa Thompson loved and cherished spending time with her family. She loved to sing and dance and had a smile that lit up any room she entered. She will be remembered as the BEST Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend anyone could have. And she was the REALEST person we have ever known. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Georgia Thompson, and her brother Gary Thompson. Theresa Ann Thompson departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on May 14, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her sons Kenneth Ray Thompson, Sr. and Gary Thompson; her grandchildren, Tierra Lorain Thompson, Nevaeh Kendra London Thompson, Kaiman Deon, Kristian Deon, Kenneth Ray Thompson, Jr., and Nya DeShawn Rose London Thompson; great grandchild, Aaliya Thorne; her siblings, Bobby Thompson, Cheryl Thompson, and Lynn (Martin) Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
