Theresa Marie Robinson was born on April 9, 1932, in Newport, Arkansas to the union of Hugh and Zenobia Robinson. Theresa was the big sister of brother, Parnell Robinson. Theresa loved and cherish her little brother and her parents. Theresa married young in Newport, Arkansas. She married the late Slone “Dock” Cox. Born to this union, were her sons, William; Virgil, and daughter, Alice. In 1952, Theresa moved to Chicago and met and later married, James Lewis Clark. Born to this union, were Cherri, Vernetta, Gertrude, Martha, Linda, and James. In 1971, Theresa moved her family to Denver, Colorado, where she later, became the mother of Twila D. Dickens. One precious memory her children will always remember is her saying, "You know who's the boss, don't forget!" Mother Robinson had lots of names from her grand, great grand, and great-great-grandchildren. She was “Momma Clark,” “Grandma Ree,” “Big Momma,” “Grandma,” and “Grammy.” She loved it because she loved and cherished them all. Mother Robinson also loved and cherished her church family. She was a mother of 10 who loved, cared for and guided each to their own personalities and lead them with the word of Christ. She worked hard to ensure they had. At an early age, Mother Robinson accepted Jesus Christ into her life. She would have church service at her home while in Chicago, Illinois. When she lived in St. Louis, Missouri, she would attend services at night, because she had to work early shifts. After moving to Denver, she devoted 35 years to Christian Corp. Fellowship (Also known as Here's Love Christian Center) under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Russell Porter, Sr. and the late Rose Porter. She was the Mother of the Church and prayer intercessor until her sunset. Mother Robinson was a Nurse, by profession. In St. Louis, she worked at Homer G. Philip Hospital. After she moved to Denver, she worked at Rose Hospital. She worked in film at Western Cinema, and later she specialized in home health care until she retired. Mother Theresa Robinson spent a lifetime taking care of others. We will miss her loving hand and caring touch. Mother Robinson is preceded in death by her sons, William S. Cox, David V. Cox; daughters, Alice R. Cox-Vaden, Vernetta C. Clark and Twila D. Dickens; father, Hugh Robinson; mother, Zenobia Morgan-McGowan; brother, Parnell Robinson; other loved ones, Lorraine Robinson-Temple, Lobicy R. Robinson-Mullon, Bonnie Ruth Robinson, Charlie Robinson, Tommy G. Robinson, Nathaniel Robinson and Jessie Mae Robinson-Moore. On October 15, 2018, Theresa Marie Robinson was surrounded at home by her children, grandchildren and loved ones by her side. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Cherri (Glenn) Clark-Kraay of Aurora CO, Gertrude (Michael) Currie of Aurora CO, Martha A. Clark of Denver, CO, Linda K. Clark of Aurora CO; and son, James H. Clark of Aurora CO, 24 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones including S.M. Robinson, Essie Lee Robinson, George Robinson, Pastor Russell Porter Sr., Sister Glenda Johnson (Prayer Partner), Brenda Legrand, adopted daughter, Sister Virginia, Sister Delois, Elder Short and Alvin Duley.
