Tanguy Gore was born on November 19, 1973 in the Ivory Coast to Christine Zimini Oligbo and Marcel Okou Gore. His upbringing in Yopougon, Ivory Coast, was filled with cherished friendships and unforgettable moments, shaping him into the remarkable individual he became. Despite facing adversity early in life with the loss of his father, Tanguy's resilience led him to find solace and guidance from his adoptive father, Jean-Marie Ahizi-Elliam, before embarking on a journey that eventually brought him to the United States in 1996. When Tanguy relocated to Colorado, Rene Kaka took him under his wing and assumed the role of a father figure providing guidance, comfort and support to Tanguy in the unfamiliar terrain.
In 1999, Tanguy's life took a beautiful turn when he crossed paths with Delphine, whose love and companionship brought him immeasurable joy. Their union on December 23, 2005, in Ivory Coast, marked the beginning of a loving family, blessed with the arrivals of Giovanni in December 2007, Olivia in April 2013, and Enzo in 2019.
Tanguy was admired as a devoted husband to Delphine, a nurturing father to Deangelo, Maxine, Giovanni, Olivia, and Enzo, and a supportive sibling to Tito and Patricia. Tanguy was an outgoing and friendly individual who cherished his family and friends dearly.
Tanguy had a passion for fitness and health, enjoyed giving advice, and was direct and opinionated which came from a loving place. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went. His sociable nature made him a true people person, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Tanguy found joy in simple pleasures, from hitting the gym to adding to his collection of Nike shoes and polo shirts. Yet, his greatest happiness came from spending quality time with his loved ones, where laughter filled the air and bonds grew stronger. As a devout member of Eternal Rock Church, Tanguy found solace and community in nurturing his faith.
Throughout his esteemed 25-year career at Martin Marietta as a maintenance technician, Tanguy demonstrated unwavering dedication and expertise, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Tanguy passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 50 in Brighton, Colorado.
