Tammy Gerdine

Tammy Denise Gerdine was born on January 28, 1964, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Johnny Hines, Sr. and Yvonne Davis Hines. She was the second child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Johnny, Jr. and Dwight. She received her early education in Denver where she graduated from high school.

Tammy married Frank Gerdine. They first met while attending a social gathering in Denver. They enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with family and friends. She was the proud mother of two sons, Frazeil and Darius. She was a loving and devoted mother, who took great pride and joy in the care and nurture of her family. She is preceded in death by Frank and a son, Frazeil.

Tammy was later blessed with nine grandchildren, Elijah, La'Raye, Marquan, L.J., R.J, Jaya, Jasyah, A'Leyah, and Zioriah, who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "Grandma T" and enjoyed her taking them trick or treating and spending time with her during family gathering.

By profession, Tammy was employed as a Customer Service Representative. She worked for "Twisters." She was hardworking, dedicated, and dependable.

Tammy was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she continued to enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman. To know Tammy was to love.

Tammy Denise Gerdine departed this life on October 26, 2019, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Darius Harris of Denver, Colorado; 2 brothers, Johnny (Debra) Hines of Aurora, Colorado and Dwight (Susan) Hines of Denver, Colorado; 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
