Tamerial Ann Brown was born on February 18, 1962, in Corsicana, Texas to her parents, J.B. Richardson and Dessa Brown. She was the first born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Charles, Kelton, Kenneth and her sisters, Sharon, Sheila, Margaret, April and LaTonya. She was educated by the Denver Public Schools District, attending Crofton Elementary, Grove Middle School, and Thomas Jefferson High School. Tamerial graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 1980. Tamerial was the proud mother of two son, Nathon and Kenneth; the extension to the family included, Gregory, Keyonna, Jessica and Celestina. She was a loving and devoted mother whose pride and joy was the care and nurture of her family. They shared many happy and precious moments together. She was later blessed with six grandchildren, Neveah, Helena, Heniah, Gregory, III, Heaven, and Xzavier, who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. By profession, Tamerial was employed by the State Veterans Nursing Home as a Cook. She was hardworking, dependable and was loved by all her fellow co-workers. She also worked for St. Paul Nursing Home, and Uptown Nursing Home. She was such an outstanding cook, every location she worked, the residents would complain that the food had not been the same since she left; she was one of the best. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Tamerial has been a member of The Samaritans Way Christ-like Ministry for over ten years. She served her church and the Lord as a member of the Executive Board, and the Pastor's Aide. She worked with the Home and Foreign Mission Team, as well as the Hospitality Board. She truly enjoyed working with the various ministries in the church and the fellowship shared with her church family. Tamerial was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, keeping an immaculate home and spending quality time with family and friends. Her closest friends, Tressra Foote Wilson, Lisa Mosley, Uneeda Chapman, Paul Frazier, Penni Jones, and Shelea will all miss the time they shared together. "If you knew Tamerial, you knew she was the type of woman who would do anything for anyone, (and half of yall know just what I mean) $$$$, LOL, which meant she would show you better than she would tell you. She had a big heart for everyone." Tamerial was preceded in death by her mother, Dessa M. Leopard, her father, JB Richardson, and stepfather, Carlton Leopard, Sr.; sister, Brenda Leopard; brother, Carlton Leopard, Jr., JB Richardson, Jr.; niece, Nicole Drinks; nephew, Lonell Franklin, Sr. Tamerial Ann Brown departed this life into the embrace of the Lord on November 3, 2016, in Denver, Colorado. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Nathon L. Brown, Kenneth L. Barlow, both of Aurora, Gregory L. Johnson, Jr., Denver, Keyonna A. Johnson, San Antonio, TX; her brothers, Charles L. Brown, Kelton (Margie) Richardson, both from Corsicana, TX, Kenneth R. Leopard, Pueblo, CO; sisters, Sharon D. (Pastor James) Royston, Sheila R. (Minister Robert) Leonard, both of Aurora, Margaret D. (Keith) Franklin, April A. Brown, both of Denver, LaTonya L. Richardson, Dallas, TX; 6 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
