Steven (Stevie) Daniel McDonald was born to his parents, Jan Thomas and Lonnie McDonald in Odessa Texas on April 28, 1974. He was raised with his brother, Lance McDonald.
As a child, Stevie took a liking to music. He enjoyed creating his own tunes on anything he could get his hands on and would play until he was worn out. He was a talented young man who discovered his gifts early including dancing and doing hair.
Stevie matriculated through Denver Public Schools where he attended and graduated from East High School. He furthered his educational path by attending Emily Griffith College where he earned his cosmetology degree.
He was a talented hairstylist in the upscale Cherry Creek district working for Salon Utopia for over two decades and touched the lives of his clients through his work. He was highly regarded by his co-workers as well, James Mucker and David Leon to name a few.
Stevie was witty, clever, and soulful and was a fixture in the nightclubs of Denver. Stevie had a unique presence about him, when he walked in a room, he could make anyone laugh effortlessly. He made people feel comfort and always told intriguing stories. He was known and loved by people of different backgrounds and moved seamlessly from one social scene to another. This world lost a brother and a friend, he will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jan McDonald; his aunt, Carrie Ward; cousin,
Laron Thomas; grandmother, Netty Jennings and grandfather, William Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory include Lance McDonald, Chase McDonald, Jennah McDonald, Bessie Walker, Barbara Langrum, Tammie Smith and. Kimberly Combs
Steven Daniel McDonald passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday December 17, 2023 at his home in Denver, Colorado.
