Skyler Howard Wilson aka Skyler Muhammad was born March 26, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska. to Louis Wilson, Sr. and Dorcus Brown Wilson. He attended Benson High School, where he was very active in the football program, however, he graduated from Boy's Town. He enlisted in the Air National Guard, he served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged. By profession, Skyler was an Electronics Technician. He was his own boss. He enjoyed the freedom and responsibility. He performed his duties with precision and excellence. Skyler lived in Omaha, Nebraska until 1986 then relocated to Denver, Colorado. Skyler was well known for lending a helping hand to those in need. He had his own way of doing things, but his concern for others is what motivated him. Skyler was an active member of the Nation of Islam. He had a special love for children, and was a great mentor, offering guidance and assistance. He touched the lives of many people during his life and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He was great friends with Mrs. Gloria Holiday, Brother Luke, Yamah Contance, Nora Shaack, Mamadou kouyate, Sharon, Scott, Siede Coston, and his God-son Cheick all of Denver. He will truly be missed by his friends. Skyler was preceded in death by his father, Louis Wilson, Sr., and his brother, Louis Wilson, Jr. He fought a good fight, we all loved you but God loved you best. Skyler Howard Wilson departed this life on November 11, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his 3 children, son, Lynell "LaRon"(Tiffany) Wilson, Cincinnati, OH, son, Skyler Murph, Omaha, NE and daughter, Ieshia Mitchell, Kansas City, MO; his mother, Darcus Brown and stepfather, Lloyd Brown both of Omaha, NE; 2 brothers, Randy Redman, Michael Wilson both of Omaha; 3 sisters, Mary Avant, Debra Lewis and Karen Wilson, all of Omaha, NE; 6 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
