Shawn Hart

October 29, 1964 — September 28, 2018

On October 29, 1964, a beautiful baby girl was born. Shawn was born in Denver, Colorado to Lona Owens and Clifford Creach. She was the fourth child to Lona and the baby. She had two sisters, Sharon Machado, Linda Machado, and one brother, Wesley Makey. As a child, she loved to play with her dolls and lending a helping hand in the kitchen with her grandma Pauline. She was always happy and full of life. She had a great sense of style and loved to accessorize with every outfit! She attended George Washington High School in Denver. Shawn was the proud mother to two baby girls, Kenyetta Clark (Creach) and Carmen Hart. She was a very protective mother and always wanted the best for her girls. She was strict, and they always had to be on their best behavior. She was also a neat freak, everything had its place. She would wake up every Sunday with Anita Baker blaring in the background to wake us up to clean the house. This meant it was chores time. She loved to spoil her girls and worked very hard to do so. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Shawn did everything with her girls including concerts, plays, "The Price Is Right," just to name a few. Shawn has spent the last 22 years with her significant other Andre Law. Andre’s nickname for her was “Rooney” They would spend their time listening to old school music, eating great food and trying their luck in the hill (Blackhawk Casinos). They would wake up together every day to watch the 5 o’clock morning news. They had a special bond that no one could replace. She was a friendly person and had a very outgoing personality. She had a smile that would light up a room and heart of gold. She was devoted, consistent, dependable, and extremely independent. She was loyal and protective of her loved ones. If you showed her respect, then she showed you respect. You never had to guess with her, always straightforwardâ₦ even if you didn’t want to hear what she had to say! She loved spending time with her family. Her family was everything to her. Shawn had a large extended family as well, which she loved and adored Shawn enjoyed shopping, collecting designer handbags, jewelry, glasses and loved to decorate her home. She enjoyed putting her final touches on everything. She was very sentimental and held on to things that were given to her. She loved the Broncos and often thought she was the head coach. She is survived by her two daughters, Kenyetta Clark (Creach), Carmen Hart; her significant other, Andre Law; her grandchildren, Andre Whisenton, Jr., Kiara Clark, Arionna Taylor; her sisters, Sharon Machado, Linda Machado; brother, Wesley Makey, a host of children and grandchildren that she didn’t give birth to but loved them as if she did!
