Sergio Evelyn-Moe

September 19, 1987 — September 22, 2015

Sergio Crandon Evelyn-Moe was born on September 19, 1987 to the parents Leonard Evelyn-Moe and Keesha Veron Hayes-Rasheed in Denver, Colorado. Sergio was their only child together, and was the second of his mother's children; his oldest brother was Aasen Hayes. He was the eldest of his father's children. He had a sister, Lashavia Evelyn-Moe and two brothers, Liam Evelyn-Moe and Trevon Baldwin. Sergio was raised and surrounded by his parents, grandparents (both maternal and paternal), loving aunts, uncles and a host of family and close friends. Sergio was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church. Although he did not have a church home, he had a close relationship with God. As a child, Sergio was very athletic and was one mean dancing machine. His favorite dance move was, "The Moon Walk". He did it as good as Michael Jackson himself. Michael Jackson was who Sergio idolized in his childhood. During Sergio's adolescent years, he attended North Middle School, Hinkley and Gateway High Schools. Sergio met his soulmate Takara Moe-Reed on December 21, 2012 in Denver, Colorado. They later exchanged vows on May 14, 2015 also in Denver, Colorado. The two shared many memorable moments with each other and had numerous plans of traveling the world and starting a family together. He was a loving husband whose main-focus was getting his life on the right track. He was an amorous person; he always expressed his consideration to those close to him, by simple acts of kindness or expressing just, "I Love You." His concerns were always genuinely communicated. Sergio was an outgoing, fun, optimistic and courageous individual. In his free time, he was always surrounding himself with family and friends. He loved fishing, going to the mall, even if he didn't buy anything, and he could never get enough Chinese Food. His closest friends were Deshaughn Mays, Dashay and Shamone Holmes. Sergio also had an unconditional relationship with many of his cousins. Sergio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He will reunite in eternity with his loving mother, Keesha Veron Hayes-Rasheed, grandmother, Dora E. Hayes, and his cousin Melania Cook. Those left behind to cherish his loving memories include his devoted wife, Takara Reed-Moe; his son, Boston Hutchens; his father, Leonard (Lashelle) Evelyn-Moe; brothers, Aasen, Liam, and Trevon Baldwin; his sister, Lashavia Evelyn-Moe; his maternal grandparents, Bobby Hayes; his paternal grandparents, Beulah West and Stanley Evelyn-Moe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. All of whom will deeply miss him.
