Selena Marlene Silas was born on January 1, 1964 in Joliet Illinois, to her parents Barbra Barlow and Jesse Ingram. She was the 1st born child in her family. She was raised with her Sisters and Brothers Alicia Ingram, Jessica Ingram-Long. Brothers Tracy Drew and Todd Drew. Growing up she was interested in sewing and crafts and was extremely helpful and orderly in the house.

Selena received her early education in Aurora Public Schools and Graduated from George Washington High School in 1982 where she was a proud Patriot. Selena mastered her passion by pursuing her love of the arts and crafts and developing her love and passion for sewing and tailoring.

She was always known for Joking around and watching scary movies. When she would dance into a room you could see the joy on everyone's faces. She was an inspirational and a light in a dark world. She always saw the silver lining and never took life too personal.

As a woman faith she attended Hope Christian Center in Tennessee and also worshiped online.

Selena loved her family dearly and always found a way to make time for each and every one of us. Whether a quick phone call, a simple text or a breakfast or dinner gathering, she always made sure we knew how much she loved us. She also enjoyed camping trips with her fiancé Gregory and Loved baking cakes with her sister Alicia.

Selena Silas departed this life on March 5, 2020, In Denver Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her passing include her mother, Barbra Barlow of Cordova Tennessee, Fiancé, Gregory Hynes of Denver Colorado, Sisters Alicia Ingram of Cordova Tennessee, Jessica Ingram-Long of Aurora, IL., brothers Todd and Tracy Drew of Aurora, IL and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
