Russell Tucker "The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege." Charles Kuralt Russell Tucker, was born in Denver, Colorado on April 27, 1955, to parents, Charles and Marietta Tucker. Russell was the eldest child of six, born of this union. Russell had three brothers, Terrell, Curtis and Charles Jr.; and two sisters, Toni and Lori. His brothers and sisters remember him as being the "protector" of the family. In 1973, Russell graduated from Manual High School. Shortly after graduating, Russell worked various jobs before returning to Red Rocks Community College to study Chemistry. Russell then worked for Rocky Flats and other nuclear facilities where he made triggers to be installed in nuclear devices. Family and friends were Russell's greatest joy. He was a proud son, brother and friend. He loved fishing and laughing and being around family and looked forward to any occasion that would unite them all. Russell maintained communication and relationships throughout the years with many of his childhood friends from the neighborhood. Russell enjoyed watching and rooting for his beloved Broncos. Russell's optimism came from his belief in the Lord. Russell held strong Christian beliefs that as he became more ill, his faith gave him the strength to fight as hard as he could, for as long as he could. His persistent optimism, love and caring nature will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Russell Tucker was called home to Glory on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 12, 2016. We all loved him but God loves him best. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Charles and Rita Tucker of Parker, CO; his brother, Terrell (Lisa) of Oakland, CA and Curtis (Heidi) of Aurora, CO and Charles Jr. of Denver, CO; his sisters, Toni of Aurora, CO and Lori of Parker, CO; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
