Ronnie "Justin" Mcconnell

March 27, 1963 — November 9, 2021

Denver, CO

In loving memory

Ronnie J McConnell (Justin) from Thornton, Colorado, age 58 passed away November 9th.   He was born March 27th, 1963 in Kansas City Missouri to Robert and Sheila May McConnell.  Justin (Ronnie) attended Ruskin High School and then went to College at the University of Central Missouri for three years.  Justin decided to take a break from school and took a position with Hallmark Cards for three years.  He then changed careers and started working in the hospitality industry where he thrived.  He worked several years at the Marriott Residence Inn in downtown Kansas City, where he was loved by many.  When “Cher” came to town for concerts, she always personally requested Justin for all her room service needs.  Justin was quite proud of that and took all the bragging rights he could.  Justin then decided to start working in the bar and nightclub industry, where he thrived as well.  He was quite the talker and performer as he loved theater so this was his forte.   Justin then moved to Colorado and worked for Invesco for several years, with his last position being an Internal Wholesaler and his “signature job” where he was responsible for scheduling all entertainment activities and gift ordering for clients.  Colorado is where Justin met the love of his life, Tony Fleith.  Together they worked with diligence to open their own bar in downtown Denver, called Li’l Devils Lounge.   Justin’s passion was to entertain, have fun, and enjoy life to the fullest.  His motto was “Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often”.  Justin was preceded in death by his parents:  Robert McConnell and Sheila Ridenhour; his sister Jeanne Horton, and his great niece Hazel Taylor.  He is survived by his partner Tony Fleith, sisters Teanne Moore and husband Jim, Linda Northern and husband Doug, brother-in-law Barry Horton, sister-in-law Linda Mitchell and husband William, brother in laws Edward Michael Fleith, Stefan Fleith Jr. and wife Monika, and niece, Erika and nephew, Kurt.  There will be a memorial held in Justin’s honor Thursday, November 18th at 3pm Pipkin Braswell Funeral Home 6601 East Colfax, Denver Colorado 80220.
