PRECIOUS MEMORIES
Ronnie “Boggadi Bob” Holde
With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Ronnie “Boggadi Bob” Holden, whose journey began on August 16, 1956, in the vibrant city of Denver, Colorado. Born to Ruthie Mae Holden and Russell Heath, he was the cherished third child of this loving union.
Ronnie was a proud Thunderbolt, having attended Denver public schools, where he laid the foundation for his spirited personality. His formative years were filled with laughter and love, especially during his time at Central Baptist Church, where he fostered meaningful connections.
Known affectionately as “Boggadi Bob,” Ronnie radiated warmth and joy, nurturing relationships with family and friends. He was a devoted presence at gatherings, an anchor of camaraderie who brought the party with his lively demeanor and his signature drink tucked away, always ready for fun. Ronnie was a master of celebration, inventing the infectious “Trickerty” dance that became a cherished staple among his friends.
His humor was as big as his heart; he often joked about being a “Boss,” pulling out his bankroll, winking, and playfully asking, “Let me hold something.” Morning calls to vent or share a laugh became a cherished ritual for those lucky enough to receive them.
There was a polished elegance about Ronnie—his sense of style, highlighted by the impeccable dress shoes he adored, reminded everyone that, indeed, “that’s what a boss do.”
Ronnie found immense joy spending time with his beloved Aunt Tippy and his dear friend Cynthia Ann Hall, where card games, dominoes, and delicious meals were the backdrop for laughter and love. The bond they shared was exceptional, with Cynthia often knowing exactly where to find her dear friend when others sought him.
Uncle Ronnie’s affection for his nieces, nephews, and cousins was boundless; each visit radiated his trademark smile and warmth, leaving lasting impressions on their hearts.
As we gather to honor Ronnie’s memory, we remember not only the man he was but the laughter, kindness, and love he shared. Those cherished moments will forever echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruthie Mae Holden, and his brothers Rudolph (Rudy) Heath and Terrance (Terry “Pig”) Frank Wiltz. On December 4, 2024, Ronnie was called home to glory, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy.
He is survived by his devoted sister, Ossie Lee Jones; brothers Russell Junior Heath, Roland Heath, and Rodney Heath; his wife, Marvella (Doni) Bishop; stepchildren Retha Price, Laguna Bishop, and McArthur “Lil Mac” Bishop; and a multitude of relatives and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Drifting gently into eternity, Ronnie “Boggadi Bob” Holden will be greatly missed, but his spirit of love and laughter will resonate within us all. Rest in peace, dear Ronnie; we love you deeply, and though you have departed, your memory will forever enrich our lives.
