Ronald Lynn Gill was born to the late William Gill and Alice Atkinson Gill on April 30, 1957 at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. Ronald was the youngest of 4 children and a twin. After graduating from William J. Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ronald attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado. He received an associate degree in Auto Body Repair. Afterwards, Ronald moved to Pueblo, Colorado, and attended the University of Southern Colorado, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Education. After graduating from the University of Southern Colorado, he worked as a youth counselor at Sacred Heart in Pueblo and then at Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. In October of 1985, Ronald followed his twin brother, Reginald, and joined the Colorado State Patrol. Once he graduating from the State Patrol Academy, Ronald joined the 1D Troop in Adams County. He joined the State Patrol motorcycle team in 1990. After 25 years, Ronald retired as Master Trooper from the State Patrol in August of 2010. Ronald loved being a State Trooper and is remembered as an outstanding and dedicated State Trooper. Ronald was a devoted brother and uncle. In his free time, he could be found watching football. He was an avid fan of the NFL and a faithful follower of the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed working on his cars and motorcycle, and was also a member of the Lexus Car Club. His other hobbies were coin collecting, customizing model cars and collecting and performing magic tricks and cards. Heaven embraced Ronald Lynn Gill on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Hallmark Nursing Facility in Denver. Those left to cherish his memory, one sister, Toni Gill of Highlands Ranch; two brothers, Keith (Sandra) Gill of Colorado Springs, Reginald (Charlotte) Gill of Highlands Ranch; two nieces, Tiana Gill of Highlands Ranch and Tonika Simmons of Brooklyn, NY; one nephew, Cameron Gill; one uncle, Eugene Gill of Philadelphia, PA, a host of cousins and many friends.
