Rogelio Eduardo Tejada was born January 4, 1979, in Juarez, Mexico to his parents, Jose and Teresa Tejada. He was the youngest of 5 siblings, all boys. He was the baby boy, he with his brothers, Jose (PEPE) Sergio, Jesus (Chuy) and Marico (Whicho). Rogelio attended elementary school in Juarez Mexico until he was nine years of age, this is when he came to the United States. Rogelio continued school in Odessa, Texas. During his school years, Rogelio and his family moved to El Paso, Texas. Rogelio graduated from Montwood High School in El Paso. While in high school, he fathered his first-born child, Jasmine Tejada. In December 2000, Rogelio had his second daughter, Alexis Tejada and in August 2004, Angela was born. His first born and only son, Rogelio, Jr. was born July 2009. Rogelio was a proud father and loved his family dearly. Rogelio worked several jobs in El Paso, Texas. He attended the School of Nursing and graduated with his CNA License. He then worked at several hospitals and Nursing homes in the El Paso area. In 2001, Rogelio moved to Denver Colorado, where he began working for a nursing agency. In 2003, Rogelio worked at Elms Haven Care Center, where he met his now wife, Lisa. Rogelio continued working in the nursing field and he worked at the Civic Center Park, while Lisa attended nursing school. Rogelio left the nursing field and opened up his own business called the Tejada Tree Service. He also became a Master Gardner and mastered the skill to grow enormous crops. Rogelio united in holy matrimony to Lisa Rooney on November 14, 2009. Rogelio was a loving and devoted husband and father. Rogelio cherished his family more than anything in this world. Rogelio would bend over backwards and figure out ways to continuously support his family to the fullest. Rogelio was loved everyone he encountered. To everyone besides his wife and kids, he was known as “Brother Roger” or “Uncle Roger,” those that loved him would make a point to make him part of their day. Rogelio loved people, Rogelio and his family would take their left overs to downtown to feed the homeless. Rogelio would even invite the homeless in to his family home and offer them a shower and hot meal, if it was cold, he would either offer them to stay the night or would send them with blankets, hats and gloves. Rogelio and his wife had the honor having four god children, 1. Miracle, 2. Savannah. 3 Lilliana, 4. most recent baby, Mercy, that is taking the baptism name of Rogelio. Rogelio took being a god parent with great honor and him and his wife have treated each as their own and all of these children knew that Niño’s house was always open. If you were to ask anyone Rogelio was a super funny guy who liked to have fun and play tricks. He was full of life. Rogelio was preceded in death by his father, Jose Tejada and god daughter, Miracle. Rogelio Eduardo Tejada departed this life July 30, 2018. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Lisa, three daughters, Jasmine, Alexis (Luis) and Angela; one son Rogelio, Jr.; his god children, his mother, Teresa Tejada; his brothers, Pepe, Sergio, Chuy, Whicho; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends Rogelio would want us to remember the good times he would not want us to cry. He would want us to smile for him. He always wanted to see everyone happy and having a good time just at his famous BBQ party’s or the gatherings he would have.
