Rodney Jefferson

November 27, 1949 — January 31, 2016

Rodney B. Jefferson was born on November 20, 1949, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Arthur Jefferson and Viola Wesley. He was the fourth of six children born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Larry Rickey, Danny and his sisters, Peggy and Connie. He was affectionately called "Bennie" by family and friends. Rodney received his early education by attending the Denver Public Schools. He was employed by the Denver International Airport working in Custodial Services. He was hard-working, dedicated and performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. He worked well with his fellow co-workers and was respected by his supervisors. Rodney was a man who didn't mind lending a helping hand to aid and assist others. He volunteered in several of the local churches just to be able help within his community. He loved spending quality time with family and friends. He loved each of them dearly. "Bennie" was a fun-loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed Bible Study, listening to music and riding his bicycle. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Rodney was to love him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Viola Wesley and his brother, Larry Watkins. Rodney B. Jefferson departed this life on January 31, 2016, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include two brothers, Rickey (Debbie) Campbell of Denver, and Clarence D.
