As beautiful as a rose to see, was her life she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us. The petals of her life fell one by one; each a gift of her heart till there were none. Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end. Rodéo Teshane' Di'amonye' Russell was born on August 29, 1998, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, She'vonne' Diane Russell and Charles Taylor. She was the only child born to this union. She was raised surrounded by the love of her uncles and aunts, Marcus, Percy, Dominiqe, Idell, and Sidney, who were more like her brothers and sisters. As a child, Rodéo loved carrying her mother's silk robe around and sucking on her thumb. When Rodéo was very young, she lost her mother. From that moment, she was surrounded by family and friends who loved and cared for her dearly. Rodéo received her early education by attending Hidden Lake High School in Westminster from 2013 – 2016. It was during high school that met Faith Onelas. They were insuperable. Faith fondly remembers that when they would have a difference of opinion, regardless of what the reason, within five minutes, they were back being "besties." They enjoyed going to restaurants in different places, visiting Las Vegas and the Colorado mountains. The love between the two of them was both undeniable and full of joy and happiness. On February 10, 2016, they were joined in a civil union in Denver. Faith now became "Wifey." Rodéo was employed by both McDonalds and Sonic for a short period. In both places, she is remembered for her customer comedy. She was a member of the "Step-Team" at the Potters House of Denver. She enjoyed "Friday Night Live" dance and skate parties which she and her cousin, Armani would attend. Her closest friends, Merrisa Rodriguez, Gabe Rameriz, Romeo Hernandez, and her younger cousins, will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together and the fact that she was a true and trusted friend. Rodéo was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed music, dancing, and of course, taking "selfies." She enjoyed being the life of the party, eating cereal at any time, and lending advise as needed. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and beautiful lady. To know Rodéo was to love her. Rodéo was preceded in death by her mother, Shevonne' Diane Russell. Rodéo Teshane' Diamonye' Russell departed this life on October 5, 2016, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her partner, Faith Ornelas; her father, Charles Taylor; her grandparents, Sherri Lynn, Victoria Taylor, and Allen Russell; her great grandmother, Rosemary Sanders Littleton; her uncle/brothers, Marcus Baker, Dominique Harris, Michael Rhines, Akhir Smith, and Armani Swazer; her aunts/sisters, Idell McCoy, Tennisia (Jessica) Littleton Broberg and, sister, Sydney Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many, friends. Go forth our beautiful "RoRo" and may your spirit continue to keep us feeling your love while your body rests… in eternal peace.
