As the oldest child, Rochelle was a helpful hand in the household and loved playing with her younger sisters. They fondly remember when her and her younger sister, Jackie, got in trouble for throwing their mother's 45" records like Frisbee's against the wall. Athletic growing up, she loved sports and running track for her school. Not the timid type, she was not afraid to tell someone how she felt and expressed that numerous times in school with her hands. She received her formal education in the Denver Public School system attending Fairview, Smith, Merrill, Harrington and graduating from George Washington High School in 1978. In 1979, her journey into motherhood began with the birth of her daughter, Kyynna, soon after Jamesha was an added source of joy, and later on in life, she had her baby boy…Kivon. Her children and grandchildren were her world, pride and joy, always showing friends and co-workers pictures of them and their achievements. She absolutely loved movies, especially sci-fi's. At one time having a collection of over 1000 VHS movies, all in numbered order! She was known to stay up until two o'clock in the morning watching TV and cooking shows. In her free time, she loved to dance, a showstopper, she was known to enter the local nightclubs in her famous, "Cat Suits" and "Cowboy Hats" and dance from the time she got there to the time she left the party. Any event she went to she was definitely the center of attention. She loved music, when visiting her she would have a smile on her face jamming to The S.O.S. Band, Al Green, Major Harris and so many more. In her later years, she enjoyed family trips to Texas and going to Chicken Express for the fish and corn nuggets. She was planning to move to Texas once she felt better.
