Robert Joseph Campbell, the third of four children born in the marriage of Luciea Josephine Perez and James Marcus Campbell, Sr., on August 21, 1944, was one of thousands of babies delivered by Dr. Justina Ford, Denver’s first African American female doctor.
Bobby was educated through the Denver Public Schools system where he attended Mitchell Elementary School, Cole Junior High School and Manual High School (Go Thunderbolts!).
Throughout his life, Robert would marry three times, and was most recently married to Lucille Johnson for six years. Robert is also survived by his daughter, Cerita; one sister, Marcia; one brother, James (Lershone); four nieces, Perez, Charlene, Chandra, and Tanisha; three nephews, Omar, Akim and Matthew and two step-daughters, Ashley and Lauren.
On Sunday, October 11, 2020, Robert made his peaceful transition to be with the Lord, at home in the presence of loved ones.

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, there will be a private Committal and Interment Service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Friday, November 6th.
