Rita Ann Peaches
Rita was born in Portland, Oregon on August 3rd, 1949. She was one of 11 children born to Johnny Lee Martin and Rozell Hines Martin. As a child, she moved to Warren, Arkansas, where she grew up with her brothers and sisters. In 1974, she married, Jim Neal Peaches, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. While there, she gave birth to a daughter, Tabitha and a son, Jim Branden. As a family, they relocated to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she resided alone after becoming a widow in December 2002, after 28 years of marriage.
She received her bachelor’s in nursing and had a successful career working at multiple nursing homes and hospitals. She landed at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she retired after 30 plus years of being a registered nurse. Rita loved being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was diligent about pioneering with her local congregations in Wagoner Muskogee and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was passionate about witnessing and sharing the good news to people she encountered in field service. She loved spending her spare time being outdoors, barbequing, gardening, and caring for her animals. She will be best remembered for being loving, kind, patient, and always willing to help others in need.
She was a grandmother and a great grandmother, she leaves behind 2 granddaughters and 2 Grandsons, Angelique(22) Aryana(13), Jim Deavon (21), Jeramiah(17); 2 great grandsons, Elias (4) and Enzo (1). She is survived by her siblings, Cylde Russell, Lavern Bell, Estella Davis, John Martin, Asunte Martin; and a myriad of nieces and nephews.
