Rhonda Denise Jones was born on October 23, 1959, in Caruthersville, Missouri to her parents, Clara Nell Emerson-Jones and John Wesley Jones. She was raised by her grandparents, Reverend Magi Florzell and Gracie Lee Emerson. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1976, with her aunt, Marion Kate, who became like a second mother to Rhonda. She received her formal education in Denver where she graduated with the Class of 1978, from George Washington High School. By profession, Rhonda was employed by the Denver Public Schools in Food Service. She was hardworking, dedicated and dependable. She truly enjoyed working around the children and she was respected by her co-workers and supervisors. She later became an Office Assistant for Now Faith Christian Center Church. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Rhonda was a faithful member of Now Faith Christian Center Church. She served her church under the pastoral leadership of Apostle Leon Emerson. She was a member of the Usher Board and she later became an Ordained Minister. She truly enjoyed the fellowship with her church family and the wisdom and knowledge she was gaining as she studied the bible in spirit and in truth. Rhonda was a fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. She was a history buff and loved hearing stories of days past and gone. She enjoyed learning how to play instruments especially the Bass and the Drums. She is remembered as being gifted in the area of prophesies and interpretation of dreams. She was well known for baking her famous butter cookies and sharing them with children. Her closest friends, Jean Thompson, Terry Lee and LaShawnda Allen will miss the camaraderie's they shared together and the fact that she was a true and trusted friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman of God. To know Rhonda was to love her. Rhonda Denise Jones departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on November 22, 2015, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include, 3 aunts, Annie Lois Williams of Gary, IN, Marion Kate Augusta Emerson, Dorothy Janetta Johnson Emerson; 1 uncle, Pastor Leon Maurice (Pastor Yvonne) Emerson all of Denver and a host of other relatives and many friends.
