Rhonda Hickman was born on January 17, 1963, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to her parents, Sandra Cooper Bridges and Lewis L. Singley. She was the first born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Byron, Cornell, Parish and her sisters, Erika and Nikki. She was named by her Aunt Lou Della and received a lot of family attention because she was the first born. The family relocated to Denver, Colorado when Rhonda was a young girl. She received her formal education in Denver Public Schools, attending East High School. Rhonda was the proud mother of LaKeasha, Lonnie, Justin and step-mother to Ashira. She was a mother who took great pride and joy in the care and nurture of her family. She was very supportive of her children's school activities and her son's football games. She was the proud grandmother of Lamarius, Jaida, Morgan, Sariah, Justice and Justin Jr. They remember her as being fun, vibrant, and young at heart. She celebrated their milestones and they were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. By profession, Rhonda was employed as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. She was employed by Delta Dental. She also worked as an Insurance and Customer Service Representative. Wherever employed, Rhonda maintained an upbeat and helpful personality. She was experienced and respected for her professional demeanor. Rhonda accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very early age and united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend W.C. Jones. Prior to her passing, she reaffirmed her faith and belief in the Lord. Rhonda was a fun loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed bike riding and crocheting hats, blankets, scarfs and other crafts. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends during holidays and special gatherings. She carried a vibrant spirit, she was loyal, and had a big heart. She was the type of person who never met a stranger and she also made herself at home wherever she was. She was out spoken and was given the title of "Diva" by many. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful lady. To know Rhonda was to love her. Rhonda Hickman departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on April 2, 2016, in Denver, Colorado.
