Renee Leah Conner-Avery was born on August 8, 1962, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Alvin E. Conner and Paralee Brown Conner. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Kelvin, Anthony and her sisters, Gloria, Josephine and Tracy. She received her early education in Denver where she attended Harrington Elementary, Cole Jr. High and she graduated from Manual High School. Renee united in holy matrimony to Melvin Wright in Denver; to this union a son, Jonathan was born. She later wed James Halliburton. They were married at Bethsaida Temple Church; to this union Virgil and Joshua were born. With this union of marriage, she became the step mother of Andre and James. On March 31, 2012, Renee and Adrian Avery exchanged vows in a candlelight ceremony in Bethsaida Temple Christian Center and with this union, she welcomed Benjamin and Brandon. Her families now complete, she was welcomed by the Avery Family and the same welcome was extended by her family. They all shared many happy and memorable moments together some of which include watching Independence Day every 4th of July. Joshua fondly remembers enjoying the one on one conversation's they shared and she giving him sound and solid advice about life and people. Adrian fondly remembers his wife calling him while he was on the road as a long distance truck driver just to let him know that she loved him and was making sure he was alright while on the road. Renee was later blessed with six grandchildren, Kimberly, AJ, Tiana, Antwayn, Kal'Raye, and Yaniah who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They fondly remember her sewing and buying their Easter dresses, braiding their hair when visiting and she loving them unconditionally. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Renee accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very young age. She first joined Bethsaida Temple Christian Center in Denver. When she relocated to Florida, she joined Love Fellowship Worship Center and in Georgia, she joined New Life Holiness in Christ Ministry. She was always active in the churches ministries. She has served as an Usher, Greeter, Chair of Hospitality just to name a few. She truly believed in the power of Prayer and having the right relationship with the Lord and the fellowship shared with her church family. Renee was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she was an avid Star Trek and Jurassic Park Fan. She also loved being surrounded by family and friends. She had many close friends that stayed in close contact with her and she with them. She was the type of person who never met a stranger. She was creative and had started making "Shadow Boxes" called "Shoulders and The Strength of a Woman." She had also created towel sets and was awaiting the launch of her new line. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this Queen of Woman. To know Renee was to love her.
