Raynard Black

April 13, 1963 — January 8, 2017

Raynard Alden Black was born April 13, 1963, in Denver, Colorado to Reginald and Margaret Black. He was the third child and youngest son of this union. Raynard spent his early childhood in Frankfurt, Germany and attended the American School System. He had a very adventurous spirit. So much that his parents were the recipients of an Army inquest due to his many "boyish" accidents. Such as jumping over a five foot ramp trying to be "Evil Knievel" or thinking he could fly like Superman by falling out of a tree, or the time he thought he was an electrician and stuck his finger in a light socket. He loved giving the German farmers fits when we were borrowing some of their fruits. He was always up for playing games with the neighborhood kids. Raynard played football and baseball. He was the starting linebacker for Aurora Central and had walked on at University of Southern Colorado and made the team. He had a love for music, art and writing. He wrote numerous scripts for Hollywood but never got that big break but it didn't slow his spirit. He enjoyed traveling to the different cities in Europe such as Paris France, Amsterdam Holland, Venice Italy, Vienna Austria and many more. This adventurous spirit continued into his later life, while he attended high school and graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1981. He attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo for a short period of time. After leaving school he joined the Army and honorably served his country. Raynard enjoyed the family reunions that were held in Gainsville, FL, Atlanta, GA, Daytona Beach, FL. He had the joy of meeting relatives he had never seen before. He had a ball. He then looked forward to seeing them the following year. The time of his life was a cruise with his family. He was excited about the size of the ship and how easily he could get lost. He got a kick out of visiting Jamaica, Mexico, and Cayman Islands. He had us all cracking up with his version of a Jamaican accent. Raynard Alden Black departed this life on January 8, 2017, in Littleton, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Reginald and Margaret Black, Littleton, CO; his brother, Reginald Black, Jr., Littleton, CO, his sisters, Karen Cook, Aurora, CO, and Sharon (Troy) Evans, Chester, VA; two nephews, Jamar Cook, Aurora, CO and Eric Evans, Chester, VA; his aunts, Wilhelmina Williams, San Diego, CA, Yvonne Watson, Meridianville, AL; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends to remember a lifetime of love!
