Raymond Mattingly

September 4, 1962 — May 31, 2019

Raymond Claude Mattingly JR. was born on September 4, 1962 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His parents were Raymond Claude Mattingly Sr and Sandra Sue Williams. Raymond was the eldest of three boys; Garrett and Ryan.

He was raised in Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado where he attended Catholic and Denver Public Schools. Raymond was a very animated character, many people knew him by Ray Ray, Ace, and Snoop! Raymond would make everyone smile even strangers with his charismatic, genuine, funny, loving, and caring personality, thus making everyone feel like he was their best friend.

Raymond loved his music....... and would blast it! you would never see him without a boombox until they made Walkman's, CD players, and iPods and then you would see him with one of those! He also enjoyed being outdoors; going to the mountains, camping, fishing, and going to the ocean. He really enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and he did so in his final hours of life.

He was good with his hands and enjoyed doing general labor and landscaping. In Raymond's final years he volunteered at the Goodwill and the Arc.

His love and memories will remain in those left to cherish the wonderful person he was, his wife Candi, his four children; Brandi, Raymond III and Ashsali, and Felton his eight grandchildren; Clarence, Donte, the twins Aleighja and Angellys, Alice, Jasaun, Raymond and ALaysia, and by his aunt Diane, cousins Linda, Sharon, Darrell and many other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
