A Woman of Love and Joy
Patsy Ann Sanford was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 31, 1941 to Mr. Less Lee Walker S.R and Mrs. Eva Beatrice (Walker) Brooks. Patsy was the Fourth born to Eva and the third born to Less of seven children (June Williams, Barbra (Ellison) Walker, Dorothy Walker, Less Lee Walker Jr (Lillian), Harvey Walker (Gail), and Jerry Walker.
Patsy spent most of her life living in Denver Colorado. She loved to read her bible and go to church whenever she was able. Patsy also loved to spend time with those she loved. Patsy would often tell stories of the past about her sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, mother, and father. You can genuinely see the light in her eyes as she told each story as a loving memory. Her favorite story to tell was of her late grandmother everyone called Momma Joe. She'd remember being able to cross the yard every morning and would be able to join her grandmother for breakfast. That was her most favorite thing to do as a young child. Patsy graduated from Manual High school and also earned some college credits.
In Patsy's late 20's she began her long career at Presbyterian Hospital. Patsy was a Central Supply Technician until she reached her late 40's. Patsy retired from this Job due to a high exposure of radiation gas which took a toll on her psychological performance, which later down the line in life gave her dementia disease . Oh, but that did not slow her down for many years. See Patsy was so strong in so many areas of her life that you could not help but call her sweet and beautiful. She made a way out of no way every time.
Patsy loved being a grandmother the most. She loved to see her grandchildren every second she got. She would love to brag about how they all were coming along so well and how beautiful they all were. Patsy loved to talk on the phone, most of all she loved her bible. She loved to pray and talk about how good God is. Her favorite saying was "I’m telling you what I know and what God Loves". Pasty was a big Bronco fan. She spent many games cheering for the Broncos just to give those who were on the opposite team the blues. That really made her laugh.
In 2003 or 2004 Patsy joined The House of Worship, she loved going to hear the word of God from Pastor Dale. Patsy prayed all day and all night. She studied her bible and retained all she could. She witnessed the word every chance she got. She represented without a doubt for God, and that's for sure. You could not tell her anything other than God was good all the time.
Patsy lost most of her memory in her near-death years. She struggled trying to remember her loved ones and all the precious memories she had stored away. She always said she loved all her family.
On May 20, 2020 (what a powerful number) Dear Patsy Ann Sanford left to be with God, her mission on Earth was complete.
Patsy leaves behind three living children, one daughter, Roshawn Harrison, and two sons, Darrell Jones, and Phillip Haley, all of Denver Colorado.
