Patricia Maultsby

August 12, 1933 — March 31, 2014

Patricia Ann Maultsby was born on August 12, 1933, to Kyle McClure and Chlora Topp McClure in Wichita, Kansas. She was raised in a loving home surrounded by eight brothers and sisters. She received her formal education and she graduated from East High School in 1951. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Patricia accepted the Lord as her personal savior at a very early age. She joined the local Seventh Day Adventist Church. She continued to serve the Lord in spirit and truth. She believed in the power of prayer and that everyone should have a relationship with the Lord. Patricia united in holy matrimony to James A. Maultsby, Jr. who was enlisted in the United States Air Force. To this union, two beautiful children, James, III and Janet were born. She was also the proud step mother of a daughter, named LaVerne. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. Patricia and James were happily married for 61 years. Patricia really enjoyed life to the fulliest with her husband, and two children. Patricia was a woman of multiple talents. She was employed by the Pentagon in Washington DC and Lowry Air Force Base in Denver; but her pride and joy was the care and nurture of her family. Patricia was a fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. Her favorite color was green. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, roller skating, playing bingo, meeting people, and helping those in need. Most of all, every morning she enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and studying her daily devotional with her husband. Simply put, she enjoyed life daily and had a heart of gold. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful lady. To know Patricia was to love her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Chlora McClure and four brothers, Virgil, Kyle, Thomas and James McClure. Patricia Ann Maultsby departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on March 31, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her loving and devoted husband, James A. Maultsby, Jr., Denver; one son, James A. Maultsby, III, Denver; two daughters, Janet S.
