Forrest Uriah Moore was born on March 6, 1940, in Hannibal Missouri to Jethro T. Moore and Mabel Lee Johnson Moore; Forrest was the eleventh child born to this union. He had four brothers, Jethro Jr., William James, Ernest Eugene, James Williams; and six sisters, Lucille, Thelma, John Elsie, Mable Erma, Rosetta and Joyce Moore. Forrest was educated in Hannibal Missouri, at Douglas School, and graduated from Hannibal High School in 1958. Forrest played the bass tuba and the french horn instruments in the school band. He also played on the basketball team. After graduation, Forrest traveled playing with many bands, sometimes he would play solo with his left handed bass, and lead guitar. As a young adult, Forrest worked for Dixie Steel learning the craftsmanship of being a welder. Other job opportunities would lead him to work for his brother-in-law, Phillip Brown, driving trucks, hauling, and moving items. Forrest accepted our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in 1966, in New London, Missouri, under the leadership of the late Pastor Isaac Haley, who he traveled with, receiving training to be a Deacon. On December 25, 1967, Forrest was united in Holy Matrimony to Sister Betty Lou Williams of Monroe City, Missouri. They arrived in Denver, Colorado in April of 1968. To this union, they became the loving parents of three sons, Forrest D., Shaun A, Derrick D., and one daughter Alisha L. After relocating to Denver, Colorado, Forrest and his family placed their membership at Campbell's Memorial Church of God In Christ, C.O.G.I.C., under the late Bishop L. A. Jordan. Forrest worked in the Church as a Junior Deacon, driving the Sunday school bus and receiving further instructions under the Deacons of Campbell Memorial C.O.G.I.C. by the late Deacon Mack Craft, and late Deacon Crowley. Deacon Forrest Moore later moved his membership to Unity C.O.G.I.C. Where In 1973, Forrest was licensed as a Minister under the leadership of the late Elder Robert Rucker. Later, after attending the Charles Harrison Mason System of Bible College in Denver, Forrest was ordained an Elder in 1978, under the Leadership of Superintendent Lamar Kennedy, Pastor of Unity C.O.G.I.C. Later, when Forrest was called into the ministry of Pastor in 1980, Pastor Forrest Moore started the Power House C.O.G.I.C. located in Denver, and Faith Mission C.O.G.I.C. in Fort Collins which he moved to 3206 Gilpin Street, in Denver. Pastor Moore also served at Neeley Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Commerce City. His motto was always, "You're Welcomed, Wanted, and Appreciated." Pastor Moore was dedicated to the work of the Lord. His mission was to visit the sick, shut in, the jails, and the prisons. Pastor Moore has counseled with many souls. He was employed at Ralston Purina for 20 years, later working at the Power Rental Equipment Company for 19 years, where he was affectingly known to his working peers as the "Pastor at work". He held services during business hours while employees congregated to his shop, teaching them the Word of God. He would also marry or travel to weddings of the people who he worked with. After completing 29 years of Pastoral Leadership, Pastor Moore's health started to decline, whether in the hospital, rehabilitation, or nursing home, this didn't stop him from continuing to minister to those that came directly into his path.
