Oscar Stevenson Hood, was born to his parents, Geneva Lewis and Oscar Hood on March 19, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. He was the third child born in the family and was raised with his siblings, Esther, Thelma Leo and Ella.
Following high school, Oscar sought to discover what he was passionate about and entered the Plumbing trade. As a plumber he served with a spirit of excellence, always looking to put his best foot forward. Although Oscar worked, what meant more to him was spending time with his family. To know him is to admire his infectious sense of humor. He was the Life of the Party among family and friends. Oscar's vibrant personality brought joy to many and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Oscar cherished his family deeply. He is survived by four siblings, three children, and ten grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. His family was central to his life, and he took great pride in being a loving father and an adoring grandfather.
