Noval Jackson

Noval was born to Noble Mason and Jessie Mae Jackson on November 21, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas. He and his family moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1949. He was the youngest of three children, brother, Wesley Jackson of Spencer, Oklahoma and sister, Shirley Carter of Wichita, Kansas. He attended Wichita Public Schools until 1959, at which time, he moved to Denver, Colorado, and finished his secondary education in 1963. Noval joined the US Army immediately after graduating high school. He met and married Jerrie Crim in 1966. To that union, three daughters were born: Jessica, Cheryl, and Jerrie Anita. After the marriage dissolved, they remained close and respected friends. Noval married Alberta Merwin, to that union, a son was born, Christopher. Noval resided in Aurora, Colorado and obtained employment with Amtrak Railroad where he retired after 30 years. While employed at Amtrak, he met and befriended Ben Coleman who gave Noval much encouragement and support, which lead him to accept Christ in 1983. After retiring from Amtrak, Noval felt the need to busy himself with another job. He obtained employment with United Airlines, where he worked for five years before taking early retirement. Noval departed this life on October 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother Jessie Mae, father Noble, and nephew Craig. He leaves to cherish his memory, Special Friend: Jerrie Jackson of Denver, Colorado, Wife: Alberta Jackson of Aurora, Colorado, Daughters: Jessica Jackson (Kenneth) Barrows, Cheryl Tucker, Jerrie Anita Jackson all of Denver, Colorado. Son: Christopher (Faziah) Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Noval had seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren along with seven nieces, one nephew, a host of other relatives, and friends that will lovingly cherish his memory.
