Celebrating the Life of Nichole Shirelle "Nikki" Shows

Romans 8:35, 37-39

"Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nichole Shirelle Shows, affectionately called "Nikki by family and friends, was born in Denver, Colorado on March 8th, 1973 to her late mother Sandra Louise Russell and father, Ellis "Pokie" Benjamin of Los Angeles, CA. She was the youngest of two other siblings, Ronnette and Andre.

Nichole started her life and spent her early years in southeast Denver, Colorado where she was also raised by her grandparents Eugene and Letevay Barber whom she loved and adored. Later in life Nichole, along with her grandparents and family, would relocate to Victorville, California to start a new life and where Nichole would also attend school. As Nichole got older, she started her career in Customer Service and Hospitality industry.

As Nichole progressed through life, she then relocated to the city of Gardena, CA in 1996 where she was introduced to the late Ernest "Ernie" Brunson shortly after her move! Nichole and Ernest would then begin their lives together in Los Angeles, CA. 3 years after meeting with one another, Nichole and Ernest welcomed to the world their first and only beautiful daughter, Jahanna Janelle Brunson of Denver, CO.

A few short years later Nichole, Ernest and baby Jahanna would all relocate to Denver, CO and begin their new journey in life. In May of 2002 Nichole and Ernest would welcome to the world their second child, and one and only handsome son, Davonte Marquise Brunson of Denver, CO.

Not only did Nichole love her kids, but she loved playing dominoes, cards, cooking, getting her nails done, listening to music and long conversations. She was kind-hearted, courageous, caring, silly and still a kid at heart. She had a smile that would light up any room and everyone loved spending time with her.

Laughter was something that she mastered doing. Even behind the tears from tough times. She loved laughter. Not only did she love to laugh, but she loved to laugh with her kids, her nieces and nephews, her sister, her brother, cousins, friends, and co-workers. Her laughter would come out of almost anything and would ring sweet throughout the atmosphere for all to hear and remember. She will forever be remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Nichole Shirelle "Nikki" Shows of Denver, CO passed away at the young age of 47 on May 4th, 2020.

Nichole leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jahanna and Davonte Brunson, her sister Ronnette Anderson, and brother Andre Shows, Mother In Law Cathleen M. Lovette and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
